EECS 215 FA 2025 & SP 2025:

If your inquiry is for EECS 215 Fall 2025:

  1. If you need an override for any reason, please go to this form.
  2. You should attend the sections for which you are registered. Due to room capacity issues on all fronts, you may be denied a seat if you attend another section.
  3. We cannot guarantee total equivalence of each lecture, and there may be in-class events for small credit (at the instructor’s discretion)
  4. If you need to make changes in your registration, please get in touch with the ECE Advising Office, follow their instructions, and be patient as we work out enrollment issues. We cannot make guarantees, but we have a very good record of getting students into the class.
  5. I cannot recommend scheduling a direct conflict between this class and another. Your success in the class will likely be reduced. The class is designed for in-person instruction.

If your inquiry is for EECS 215 Spring 2025:

  1. f you need an override for any reason, please go to this form.
  2. The class is currently full due to lab section capacity. Depending on student demand, it may be possible to add a lab section but this will require sufficient demand. I cannot guarantee this at this point. If you still want to take the class, please get on the wait-list and get in touch with the ECE Advising Office, follow their instructions, and be patient as we work out enrollment issues. We cannot make guarantees, but we have a very good record of getting students into the class.

General:

Class attendance and some in-class activities will be counted for credit. Missing class regularly is highly discouraged. You will need to install iClicker Cloud on your device or devices and check-in for each class meeting.

MATLAB will be used regularly in the class. To date, Python and Julia do not have important functionality that is part of MATLAB. This is freely available to UM students. Self-paced classes are available here.
